Nymad management have been busy supporting charities that are close to their hearts
Being motivated to make a difference, Gary Hurlstone, CEO and Chris Jones COO like to help others by supporting charities or social causes that are close to their hearts. Here are the latest news updates that show how Nymad have given something back to the local community and “done good”
We are happy to announce our donation of £500 to Charlie’s day unit (CDU)!
Nymad are delighted to support the Charlie’s Day Unit at Basingstoke Hospital, which offers fabulous support to children and young adults who have been diagnosed with diabetes. Our donation will be used to support parents who need some help in being able to afford the Libre sensors. The Freestyle Libre system allows a diabetic to test their blood glucose as often as they need without taking the sample of blood. As the sensor is worn on the upper arm it is easily accessible and it allows for parents to catch dangerous highs and lows before they become serious. Sadly the system is costly but not yet available on the NHS.
Thank you to Chris Wilgar, Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse and the Charlie’s day unit (CDU) for everything they do and we are happy to continue our support for this worthwhile cause.
Nymad congratulates its COO, Chris Jones!
A team of volunteer athletes (!) who participated in the My Cancer My Choices 24 hour class-a-thon2017 on the 29th April have now raised an amazing £3050. This was a gruelling 24 hour challenge to complete a fitness class every hour during the day and night. Chris Jones participated in the 11:00pm “Core and More” and 12:00am “Glowfit” slots and survived!
My Cancer My Choices is a registered charity offering complementary therapy and support to patients with cancer in Berkshire. Chris would like to say “Thank-you” for visiting our Face Book page and supporting this fantastic team challenge. Also to Nymad for their generous donation of £500.
